What have been the main lessons you have learned in your career and how do you implement them in your management?

It's about having a vision. From an early age, my father told me, “People without vision behave selfishly,” and he continued to teach me to have dreams and live with a purpose. Also, since I was assigned to the president's office three years after joining the company, I have been taught to always have a vision though working with the current chairman. Now, as president, I hold a vision presentation for new employees and a management plan presentation at the beginning of the fiscal year to help them focus on what they want to become in the future, rather than just an extension of what they are currently doing. In addition, I hold monthly profit and loss meetings to confirm the goals, and have time to recognize the current status of the goals, identify issues, and resolve issues. In place of the report-based weekly report, I have introduced the PDCFA sheet, which starts with a plan and what needs to be done, allows employees to understand the current status of their goals at an individual level, and allows their superiors to provide feedback. I aim to be a company where each employee has a vision, is autonomous, and can work with initiative.

Goals as president

"Creating joy and excitement for people all over the world through inner style" is the company's mission and my own wish. I want to deliver joy and excitement through inner style. Rather than selling products, I want to create joy and excitement when you hold them in your hands, and excitement when you get innerwear that suits you. I also dream of reaching people not only in Japan but all over the world.

With this in mind, my current goal is to become the number one inner style specialty store in Japan. Defining "inner style" as things that come into direct contact with the skin, we are creating a store specializing in products such as socks, underwear, and room wear. My goal is to become the most attractive specialty store for our customers, and to become the specialty store where they feel the most value.
