Background:
I was a dedicated Samsung man, led smart traffic-related projects at Samsung Electronics and Samsung SDS for 28 years starting from 1986. When it came time to choose a field for a start-up, it was almost natural for me to dive into the smart traffic sector. STRaffic operates smart traffic projects in both the road and railway sectors. The business, which began in 2013 with 30 co workers when Samsung SDS withdrew from this field, has steadily grown based on each employee's expertise and know-how. In 2017, the company made a new leap forward by being listed on the KOSDAQ. Now, the number of employees has expanded tenfold, from 30 to 300, and the revenue has also increased more than 10 times.
Education:
I ws born in Jeju, Korea and studed at Jeju Jeil High School. After then I finished Mechanical Design at Suwon Technical College between 1979 to 1982.
Experience:
I had a distinguished career, marked by significant contributions to the field of smart traffic solutions. I began my professional journey at Geumseong Electric, where I worked from March 1982 to April 1986. Following this, I joined Samsung Electronics as a Sales Representative, serving from May 1986 to June 1998. Next role was at Samsung SDS, where he led the Transportation Infrastructure Business Team from July 1998 to April 2013. Currently, I am the CEO of STraffic, a position since April 2013. Under his leadership, STraffic has grown significantly and made a mark in the smart traffic industry.
