CRISTOBAL MONTERO ROSANIA GENERAL MANAGER OF MUTUA PICHINCHA
With over 50 years of history, Mutualista Pichincha has become the biggest mutual company in Ecuador. It is known for its solidity, close relationship with its associate members and its vision. It also has the second biggest mortgage loan portfolio in the private sector and is the biggest securitization agent.

Mutualista Pichincha is a private institution that aims to provide Ecuadorians with homes through saving. From its very beginnings it has used a supportive model that has sought to promote a savings culture in the quest to own property. As a mutualist, it does not have owners: all clients are associate members and the profit from all business is reinvested for the benefit of all concerned.

The company’s main activity is to provide members with financial solutions for efficient real estate using a model of social responsibility.

“We have survived for more than 50 years in this market to become the biggest company of its kind in the country and a reference in the financing of the housing sector,” explains Cristóbal Montero Rosanía, General Manager of Mutua Pichincha.
Mutua Pichincha also operates in Spain where it offers credit to immigrants through Unión Andina, a company that, according to Rosanía, “aims to solve the real estate and financing problems of Ecuadorians in Europe and the United States.”
