Living like royalty in the 'gateway to paradise' Punta Mita
THE ALL-INCLUSIVE LUXURY RESORT OF HOTEL GRAND VELAS
Mexico is one of those places that is blessed with such stunning natural assets that the country is just made for luxury tourism. As part of efforts of the Mexican tourism industry to promote the country as a model luxury destination, today there is an ever-expanding selection of excellent hotels and lavish resorts popping up all over the place, and Punta Mita is perhaps king of them all.

Just north of Puerto Vallarta, situated on the Pacific Ocean’s Bahía de Banderas, Punta Mita is a beachfront village at the tip of Banderas Bay in the state of Nayarit. This stretch of coastline, lying on the same line of latitude as the Hawaiian islands, has been named the ‘Riviera Nayarit’ to promote the area’s spectacular beaches.

Punta Mita is a place filled with wild beauty, vibrant culture, and some of the most impressive hotels and spas in the world.  This “gateway to paradise” (as it has been called) boasts turquoise waters, lush forests, and a host of ultra-luxe, five-star resorts. The white-sand beaches are made for sun-worshippers and water-sports seekers alike, while championship golf courses adorn the land around these opulent private retreats.

The resort and its magnificent hotels, known as a popular celebrity getaway, is really a place for living like royalty.  The Four Seasons Punta Mita offers four and five bedroom villas, complete with private butler, while the Imanta Hotel is nestled amid 250 acres of tropical vegetation along a private beach.

The St Regis meanwhile, voted in the top 50 hotels in the world, boasts two Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses and customized treatments in the lavish Remede Spa.

La Tranquila and Casa de Mita make up two of the other ultra-exclusive accommodations where, if nothing else, you can relax in any number of the complexes’ numerous pools or simply enjoy the spectacular views of the ocean.
