CCAC knows how to keep it cool

A Philippine-U.S. partnership leads the A/C industry in the Philippines
RAUL JOSEPH CONCEPCION, CEO OF CCAC AND GRANDSON OF THE ORIGINAL FOUNDER OF CONCEPCION INDUSTRIES
The Philippines’ largest air conditioner manufacturer and distributor is a family-run business with a vital North American tie. In 1998, local firm Concepcion Industries, Inc. joined forces with Carrier Corporation to become Concepcion-Carrier Air Conditioning Co. (CCAC), the undisputed leader in A/C, ventilation and heating in the archipelago nation.

Raul Joseph Concepcion, a third generation CEO at CCAC, says that his family’s original company had built up a solid reputation even before the union, thanks to its good customer relations, a trait it’s maintained through the 21st century.

“Our business has been committed for 50 years because our business isn’t just about air-conditioning, but rather, we are also focused on dealing with people. Our mission is that ‘we’re not just about air-conditioning – we’re about solutions.’ We come in and we see how we can help you create a healthy environment rather than just selling boxes and pieces of air-conditioning units.”

CCAC combines this deep local touch and knowledge with a U.S. business mentality to garner a 45% market share and a large portfolio of customers abroad who source their products from them.

“Our American partners brought the discipline on how to manage our businesses and how to look out for our financials and fundamentals,” says Mr. Concepcion.
