Sao Paulo to host global sustainability forum

In a show of support to global efforts to tackle climate change and to promote sustainable development
The city of São Paulo will be hosting the 2011 edition of the C40 network – the Large Cities Climate Leadership Group – between May 31 and June 3. The C40 helps cities reduce greenhouse gas emissions through a range of energy efficiency and clean energy programs.
Having already been hosted in London (2005), New York (2007) and Seoul (2009), it is the first time that the event is taking place in a city in the southern hemisphere.
