Turkey places energy security at center of G20 agenda

Article - June 8, 2015

As G20 president in 2015, Turkey has declared that it wants to see global action on energy security. Speaking to Worldfolio, Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said that Turkey is an example for the rest of the world, in that it uses energy as a “bridge of peace” by linking the consumption and production points in the East and West. At home, meanwhile, Turkey has liberalized its energy market and placed renewables at the core of its strategy to meet the growing needs of its population.
