Located in Salvokop, Tshwane, the 52-hectare Freedom Park was established to honor those who gave their lives in the struggle for freedom. While there are no remains at the site, it does contain the Wall of Names, a 697m-long wall on which the 75,000 names of those who died in past struggles have been listed. The Garden of Remembrance was designed as a tranquil space where people could come for reflection and prayer. Containing a number of monuments, statues and sculptures, everyone who contributed to the Freedom of the country is justly and suitably acknowledged in this beautiful garden.
