Mitsubishi Electric Building Solutions Corporation (MEBS) is a new consolidated subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation that was established in April 2022 through an absorption-type merger between Mitsubishi Electric Corporation’s building systems business and Mitsubishi Electric Building Techno-Service Co., Ltd. (MELTEC). MELTEC was a consolidated subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and mainly in charge of the elevator maintenance and renewal business. MEBS is engaged in the development, manufacturing, sales, installation, maintenance, and repair of elevators, escalators and wide-ranging building management systems and solutions. Sales, installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems and air conditioners are also important elements of its business. MEBS regards its mission as enriching people’s lives in buildings and urban spaces.

Our elevators are designed to allow use of the elevators by robots for operations such as building security, cleaning and transportation, and can be integrated into the building management systems of various manufacturers, contributing to labor saving and building operation efficiency.

Business Achievements:
In 2020, cumulative production at Inazawa Building Systems Works reached 500,000 units and the one at Shanghai Mitsubishi Elevator Co., Ltd. reached 1 million units.
We have delivered high-quality, high-performance and high-speed elevators including the then world's fastest elevator with a speed of 1,230 meters per minute for the Shanghai Tower (Shanghai Zhongxin Dasha) in 2016.
Furthermore, we are the only manufacturer in the world to offer spiral (curved) escalators for indoor use. These escalators offer a unique and sensory riding experience, engaging passengers with their surrounding environment as they travel.
Company Goals & Objectives:
In order to strengthen our recurring revenue business, MEBS shifts to a robust business structure by 2025 that coherently covers from new installation to maintenance and renewal of elevators and escalators.
Further beyond that, our goal is evolving into a leading building solutions provider in the global market, utilizing our elevators and escalators, air conditioning, building management systems, and other building facilities.
We will continue to take on the challenges in new business areas, such as linking facilities and systems, and multiple brands building management and renewal, to stay being a company that meets the needs of our customers and society, creates comfortable building spaces, and contributes to solving social issues.
