The new $150 million investment by the Arabian Sugar Company (ASC) in the Bahrain Industrial Investment Park will create 140 jobs and serve the whole of the Gulf Cooperation Council market area. ASC’s CEO, Dr Yves El Mallat, says key factors in the decision to invest include “Bahrain’s educated labour force, inexpensive energy prices, prime location and tax advantages”.
