Capital Business Park sets a milestone for Egyptian office standards

Responsible for Egypt’s new groundbreaking Capital Business Park, Omar Dorra, Managing Director of the Dorra Group, made real a vision of superlative office space for companies seeking outstanding facilities to take the next step in Egypt.

Opened in September 2015, the project represents Dhs1.5 billion in investment and its inauguration event lived up to the luxury and sophistication expectations that have become attributed to the Dorra Group’s developments.

Located in the dynamic and contemporary professional business hub in western Cairo’s Sheikh Zayed City, it can be easily accessed from the capital’s downtown and the contemporary architecture of its buildings are surrounded by luscious landscaping and ornamentation that adds a sense of calm and tranquility to the environment.

The complex was designed to be one of a kind, from its imported Belgian glass curtain walling enveloping the buildings, to the electric mechanical workings and building management systems installed and supervised by the American provider Johnson, to the choice of architect to ensure the project is something special. Capital Business Park was designed by Hazel Wong (RMJM), who has earned several international awards, being her most famous projects for the Emirates Towers in Dubai and the Lamar Towers in Jeddah.

Among the various deluxe amenities and facilities, tenants will find state-of-the-art security and surveillance 24/7 to ensure safe working surroundings, as well as concierge and customer service facilities available around the clock. The project consists of seven office buildings, five of which have six levels and the others have 18 levels. There are various office sizes ranging from 200sqm to 1,000sqm available to meet every need and request. In addition to parking spaces for every office, parking spaces for the shopping mall are also available.

Phase one of the project is sold out. Companies such as Harley Davison and Porsche have already confirmed the place as their headquarters. Currently, Mr. Dorra is aggressively working on the second phase in order to meet the strong demand of premium office space.

Phase two will connect the entire project from both sides of Sheikh Zayed City to offer easy and convenient access. The main focus of phase two is multinational offices; and there are 24,000sqm to be leased out. The first two floors will focus on retail outlets, and the remaining floors will be destined to office spaces. The two buildings at the furthest point of phase two overlook Sheikh Zayed City and will each have large terraced areas offering an upscale restaurant and lounge space located on the top floors. Lease contracts will begin to be closed in the first quarter of 2016 and tenants can expect to move in within seven months after.

Initially with a simple vision of creating the first exclusive professional business park in Egypt, the Capital Business Park has exceeded its expectations by substantially raising the bar in terms of office space quality in Egypt.
