Born in Queretaro, Mr Rodríguez grew up dividing his time between school, American football and the family business, manufacturing and electromechanical assemblies.
Father of two girls along with his wife, friend and confidante Cristina, he seeks to convey to them, by example, values such as kindness, self-reliance, humility, love, courage and integrity.
A book lover, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, travel, good wine and good food. He is also a regular athlete, triathlete and runner, as well as a member of the board of his daughters’ school, and is a devout Guadalupe pilgrim.

What have been the main lessons you have learned in your career and how do you implement them in your management?
Fall and always get up. In my early years with managerial and directorial responsibilities, companies in which I worked went through serious financial problems, and rather than give up I made the decision to redouble efforts and commitment.
Do not think that others are greater than you. Many times in my professional activity I’ve heard that the kind of goals that I set myself and projects I have focused my efforts on are for companies with larger consolidation in the market; rather than believe this, in the CMM Group we have competed with companies and have made larger projects on paper that have led to further growth.
Listen to everyone before making a decision. It is very important to take into account the comments of your colleagues, in most cases their perspectives feed and/or underpin decision making, achieving this generally produces better results.
The decision you made is the best. Once you make a decision after the alignment process and planning, you must firmly believe in this and give it all your effort and confidence.
See your ideas through to the end. The only way to make a success of our ideas is seeing them through to fruition.
Mentors
My father, who taught me the value of hard work and the commitment that you should have for it.
My American football coaches, who taught me the values of effort and tenacity.
Rafael Garcia "El Paisano" (my first supervisor), who taught me humility that I have to learn and especially that everyone should learn something.
The advice of my friends and colleagues Gerardo Gaona and Francisco Lopez. The former has been guiding me in my process of growth and learning in making group management decisions; the latter showed the value of the operation/production as heart of an organization and the importance of the triple constraint of scope, schedule and cost on projects.
Quotes
From Sta Maria Eugenia:

• None of your efforts have to be the last.
• What is lacking in your joy is what is lacking in your delivery.
From Don Quixote de la Mancha:
• To dream the impossible dream, to fight the unbeatable foe, to run where the brave dare not go, to reach the unreachable star.
From St. Francis of Assisi:
• Start by doing what is necessary, then do what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.
• I need a few things and the few that I need, I need them little.
