What have been the main lessons you have learned in your career and how do you implement them in your management?
There are 2 lessons in my career.
Move First:
This is a lesson from my Suntory time.
“Yatte Minahare” is one of the famous corporate values at Suntory. It means, “Do not give up before trying hard. We never know what could come out.”
I had experienced this value through the daily work. And it has set my mindset as a business person since then.
The importance of the Corporate Values;
After I joined Ophtecs Corporation, I was working for my father, as one of Ophtecs staff. My father had transferred the vision and values of Ophtecs Corporation to us all.
What I, as a leader of Ophtecs, have been doing is to cherish the corporate values and to improve them even more.
Mentors
Not particularly, but I always find the lessons in the history books.
Through the reading books, I learn something how the historical people overcome their difficulties and how they made decisions.
