Business Description
The Nomura Real Estate Group comprises Nomura Real Estate Development and other group companies, and operates in the residential development business, leasing business, investment management business, property brokerage & CRE business, property & facility management business, and other business.
Background
1957: Spun off from Nomura Securities Co., Ltd. and launches real estate business focused on leasing and management of office buildings.
1961: Launches residential land development business with development of Kajiwarayama residential area in Kamakura, Kanagawa.
1963: Launches condominium development business with the construction of Co-op Takenomaru in Yokohama.
1978: Completes construction of the Shinjuku Nomura Building and moves the headquarters from Nihonbashi.
1988: Starts construction of Yokohama Business Park (YBP), the largest business development conducted solely by the private sector.
2002: Unified brand name “PROUD” for residential products and services established.
2004: Holding company system with Nomura Real Estate Holdings, Inc. at the helm is introduced.
2006: Nomura Real Estate Holdings, Inc. lists on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
2007: Nomura Real Estate Residential Fund, Inc., lists on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
2008: NREG Toshiba Building Co., Ltd. becomes a group member.
2010: Nomura Real Estate Reform Co., Ltd. is established.
2011: The group’s three asset management firms merges to create Nomura Real Estate Asset Management Co., Ltd.
2013: Nomura Real Estate Master Fund, Inc. lists on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
2014: The group’s two property management firms merge to create Nomura Real Estate Partners Co., Ltd.
2015: Nomura Real Estate Wellness Co., Ltd. is established to develop and operate housing for seniors.
2015: NF Power Service Co., Ltd. is established.
