Background / Biography:
Born in Hokkaido, the CEO graduated from Hosei University’s Faculty of Economics in 1974 and joined Onward Kashiyama. He worked closely with prominent Japanese department stores, including Isetan Shinjuku, Matsuya Ginza, Tobu Ikebukuro, and Seibu Ikebukuro, managing brands such as Isetan’s private label, Nino Cerruti and Duke Madison, Seibu’s private label, Chupa Chups (a secondary line of Ralph Lauren), and Onward’s licensed brand, Jean-Paul Gaultier.
In 1991, he founded FITS CORPORATION after leaving Onward Kashiyama. He began by importing perfumes and securing distribution contracts with brands from France, Italy, and the United States. Eventually, he launched in-house brands, showcased them at global exhibitions in Cannes and Bologna, and initiated exports.
Today, he focuses on developing an extensive range of lifestyle products inspired by fragrances, with the goal of positioning the company as a leading "fashion fragrance maker."
