Club Hemingway is a completely consolidated and successful real estate project, offering top grade homes in exceptional, natural surroundings

With apartments to dream of, and marvellous sea views, Club Hemingway is a real estate development where architectural design has truly respected its beautiful natural surroundings. These are homes with the very highest standards of quality, on a spectacular white sand beach, with a forest of hundred-year-old coconut palm groves, crystal clear waters with coral reefs, and a feel of Caribbean nature at its purest.

Located on the beach of Juan Dolio in the Dominican Republic, only 45 minutes from the city of Santo Domingo and La Romana, and 20 minutes from the Las Americas International Airport, Club Hemingway’s homes are aimed at people who like to enjoy a beach with exuberant nature, as beautiful as a lost paradise, without having to give up the sort of luxury and comfort that goes hand in hand with the best amenities and infrastructure.

This is an exclusive complex with a family feel, keeping up the highest standards of security, maintenance, cleaning, and cuisine and leisure activities which make Club Hemingway a unique location for relaxation and general wellbeing. “It’s an exclusive project where tranquillity and satisfaction for everyone are the top priority,” assures Belén Gómez, General Manager of Club Hemingway.

The project kicked off in 2004 and currently totals 222 apartments and more than 100,000 square metres of beach, gardens and amenities, with a central office offering all the services of a luxury hotel, including reception, restaurants, maintenance, cleaning, laundry, gardening, security and a “rentals desk” which promotes rentals to the home owners with those needs. With its beauty, good location and amenities, Club Hemingway homes are perfect as a second home and holiday place – but also as a permanent home.
Club Hemingway has entertainment and leisure activities for all ages. Apart from the marvellous beach and swimming pools, it also has a riding centre, a football pitch, four paddle courts, two tennis courts, a squash court and a modern gymnasium. For golf enthusiasts there are two pitches close-by and another ten only 45 minutes away, including some of the best in the world.

For those who enjoy good cooking, Club Hemingway offers them some excellent options, all in an informal atmosphere in close contact with nature. The restaurant “El Embarcadero”, constructed on a wooden platform on the seafront jetty, and specialising in fish and sea food, is a key feature. “La Tratoría”, located at the beautiful Casa Club, has delicious salads, carpaccios, pastas, pizzas, soups and meats, among other dishes; and the beach café, or chiringuito, offers a grill menu and tasty sandwiches.

The Club Hemingway’s Casa Club is a large, beautiful house with the architecture and plant life totally in keeping with old West-Indian estates. Inside the club is a small library or reading room; a conference room with modern audio-visual equipment; an exhibition room; games rooms for chess players, cards or dominos; a wine cellar with a valuable selection of wines; and the “Hemingway Café” which includes all sorts of activities from just having a drink to watching a Spanish football league final.

Close by the Casa Club is the little chapel of the Sacred Hearts, with a style merging in with the churches of old Santo Domingo. The park which surrounds the chapel is an ideal spot for a stroll, and concerts and other events are held there on set days.

Club Hemingway is a project designed and run by a team of top-of-the-range professionals, working on an excellent technology platform, solely to bring its residents and visitors the greatest possible enjoyment and relaxation, as well as preserving and improving the value of the houses, amenities and services it comprises.
