Background / Biography:
Born in Tokyo in 1959. He began his carpentry apprenticeship upon graduation from junior high school and started his own business at the age of 19. After achieving success in the remodeling business, in 1986 he established a custom-built housing company, Sumai no Miyako Co. In the same year, he developed "M21," a freely designed custom-built house with a price per tsubo of 210,000 yen, which became a major breakthrough. The company's know-how on rationalization of housing construction matured into the "Aqura System," which was made available to approximately 2,700 construction firms nationwide. In 2023, the company name was changed to AQ Group Inc. Ltd. in 2023, and offers a variety of housing-related services centered on the "AQURA HOME" brand of custom-built homes.
