Masaki Hojo joined Daifuku in 1971 and was assigned to sales of automotive automation, with responsibilities expanding to include global sales. After building a rapport with his international experience, he was then appointed as President of Daifuku America Corporation in 2000, President of Daifuku Canada Inc. in 2004, and Chairman of Jervis B. Webb Company in 2007.
He was appointed as President of Daifuku Co., Ltd. in 2008. Since then, he has led Daifuku as it further expanded globally, including mergers and acquisitions of companies based in the US, UK and New Zealand. The company has also seen continuous growth under his leadership, posting record sales in 2014.
