Aysha Al Mudahka began her career working at the Qatar Financial Center and the Qatar Finance and Business Academy. In 2007 Ms Al Mudahka volunteered at INJAZ, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating Qatari youth, where she worked her way up to become INJAZ Qatar’s Executive Director in March 2011. She remains a board member at INJAZ Qatar.
Ms Al Mudahka is a member of the Global Shapers Community, which falls under the World Economic Forum, and is also a member of ‘Tomouh’, a network of top achievers in any academic or professional field in the GCC.
A Qatari national, born and raised in the State of Qatar, Ms Al Mudahka has a strong academic background in business. She has completed post-graduate programs at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, and most recently graduated from HEC Paris with an Executive MBA.
Achievements
Ms Al Mudahka received the Special Recognition Award at the 2015 Arabian Business Qatar Awards, and the 2015 Enterprise Agility Achiever award for Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Development by Entrepreneur ME, on behalf of QBIC. Most recently, Ms Al Mudahka was named the 80th Top 100 Most Powerful Arab Woman for her work in entrepreneurship, in a ranking by CEO Middle East magazine, and the 32nd most influential Qatari by Arabian Business Qatar.
Ms Al Mudahka has also taken part in some leading entrepreneurial and women empowerment conferences, such as How Women Work, the Young Arab Women Leaders Conference and LAUNCH as a keynote speaker in each. She was also a judge at Qatar’s Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy’s Challenge 22. In addition, Ms Al Mudahka was a panelist at the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) 2015, and the Surpreme Education Council’s conference on integrating entrepreneurship in school curricula.
Ms Al Mudahka has featured in a number of publications including the FT’s Women in Business section in October 2015.
Vision & Strategy
Ms Al Mudahka is CEO of the Qatar Business Incubation Center, a leading business incubator in the MENA region. CEO since July 2014, Ms Al Mudahka leads a team of professionals devoted to supporting local entrepreneurs, and whose mission is to develop the next QAR 100 million companies in Qatar. Through QBIC’s work with startups and scaleups, combined with coaching and mentoring, QBIC is closely aligned with Qatar’s national development program by encouraging a strong, diversified private sector.
