Business Description

Tokuriki Honten, we are a general manufacturer of precious metal products.

 

Background

In 1727, about three hundred years ago, Toshichi Tokuriki-ya, our predecessor who had been running an exchange house, started the recasting business of gold and silver coins under the command of the Tokugawa Shogunate (Yoshimune Tokugawa, the eighth shogun).

As one of the world’s oldest precious metal suppliers, Tokuriki Honten has been continuing our business keeping up with incessant social, economic, and technological changes through the long history since Edo period.

Started the recasting business of gold and silver coins as an exchange house

Started sales of precious metals bullion, refining, manufacturing of craft works

1934

Incorporated to Tokuriki Honten Co., Ltd.

Started manufacturing of industrial materials

1953

Started manufacturing of Silver alloy contact point for magnet switch

Established Sagami factory in Kanagawa

Established Osaka sales office

Established Kuki factory in Saitama

Recognized as an approved melter and assayer by LBMA (Gold, Silver)

Established Kofu sales office in Yamanashi
