Development, Manufacturing and Sales of Automatic Controls and Test Systems
Background
In 1940, surrounded by quiet grove and clear creek in Musashino, Shigeru Nishimi founded "Bellows Research Institute," and this is the beginning of Saginomiya's history. Bellows was necessary for Aviation and Marine automatic controls, and it was eagerly awaited by these industries. However, production for quality bellows required high technology, but there was no such skills in Japan that time.
In 1944, after long trial-and-error research, we succeeded in developping the high quality bellows. In April 1st 1948, we became a Corporation of bellows development and production company. The company name of Sagionomiya was named after local small town.
Since then, our company has been growing along with the growth of the Japanese economy, as "The Automatic Control Manufacturing Company", contributing primarily in the field of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, and in a wide variety of fields such as heavy electric, semiconductors, transportations and medical industries.

Markets
We have developed as a leading company in the automatic controls business. We have been expanding widely across many industrial fields, such as cooling, refrigeration, air conditioning, hot water supply heating, power plants, automobiles, trains, ships, medical equipment, semiconductors, etc. Since the test systems business started in 1964, we began creating new and valued products, such as the innovative driving simulator “DiM” that is highly acclaimed by many domestic and overseas automobile manufacturers.

Company Goals & Objectives
Saginomiya will celebrate its 80th anniversary in 2020. We determined a core management strategy with three elements for medium term management planning (Progress 80). And we are now collectively working to achieve the Progress 80, consisting of three core business strategies “Innovation”, “Business Structure Improvement” and “Globalization”, which are essential for future development.
