Vocation

The Port of San Pedro is one of the main built after independence Côted'Ivoire economic infrastructure. The construction of the port of San Pedro was part of the integrated development program initiated in the years.60 by the Ivorian Government to include:

  • reduce regional disparities by creating a development center in southwestern Côte d'Ivoire,
  • serve as a transit port for neighboring landlocked countries (Mali, Guinea forest, east of Liberia).

Mission

The Port of San Pedro in charge of all port functions including logging operations, services to vessels, maintenance, renewal and development of port infrastructure in San Pedro. However, most of the operating and control functions and towing vessels operations are performed by the
private sector.
