Location
Mega Pharma’s headquarters is located in Parque de las Ciencias, a leading-edge technology park located in Uruguay. The Mega Pharma Campus includes corporate offices, a worldwide state-of-the-art pharmaceutical plant, an R&D Center and a Logistical Operator specialized in the pharmaceutical sector.
The Mega Pharma Campus has a constructed area of over 29,000 m2 on 5,500 m2. The total investment was over US$110 million. When planning the project’s physical and operational structure, the main objective was to self-manage the Campus’ energy and water resources and to develop an environmental micro program. The buildings have been constructed in compliance with the WHO, BMP and LEED’s international standards.
Our Campus is a real push towards the achievement of its maximum productive and scientific potential, since we foster fluent interaction with the scientific community of local and international academic centers.
Competitive Advantages
Mega Labs is Mega Pharma's new pharmaceutical plant specializing in the manufacturing of solid, injectable and ophthalmic products. Located in Parque de las Ciencias, the plant stands out as the most advanced in Latin America, combining state-of-the-art technological development with top-quality industrial production.
Our R&D Center has a Pilot Plant and Laboratory that also are equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The Pilot Plant enables us to design, manufacture and analyze different types of formulations, from small quantities and laboratory-size batches to pilot ICH batches for stability studies. It employs a team of chemical and pharmacological experts specializing in the research and development of new formulations, whose objective is to lead, manage and develop between 15 and 25 R+D+i projects per year.
Such leading-edge technology and equipment are in line with MegaPharma’s R+D+i operational excellence.
