Background
Since LOTTE began producing and selling chewing gum in Tokyo in 1948, the company has grown into a global conglomerate with businesses not only in Japan and South Korea but also around the world.
Company name “LOTTE” comes from Charlotte, the heroine in the novel The Sorrows of Young Werther written by a notable German author Goethe.
The corporate message “Sweetheart of Your Mouth” embodies LOTTE’s desire to be loved around the world just like the “eternal love” of Charlotte.
