Education

Chairman Shigeru “Sam”Nakane graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering in the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Tokyo University of Science in March 1971.

 

Career Experience

Started working at IBM Japan and gained experience as Administrative Assistant to President and CEO and as Regional Manager, Distribution Industry. Afterwards, as a president and CEO, Chairman Nakane has led top Japanese IT companies like SAP Japan Co., Ltd., i2 Technologies Japan, Inc., PoweredCom, Inc., UWiN Corporation and iDeep Solutions Corporation.

In 2012, he was appointed as the Chairman of Tokyo University of Science Foundation.

 

Mentors

Mr. Nakane has cooperated extensively with Matahir bin Mohammad, former Prime Minister of Malaysia, working on comparative educational practices in both Japan and Malaysia to find solutions for both countries.
