Born in Nagasaki in 1933, Mr Okada graduated in 1958 from Waseda University’s Faculty of Law.
In 1966, he established Ariake Tokushu Suisan Hanbai Co., Ltd. and renamed it as Ariake Japan Co., Ltd. in 1990.
In 1997, he established the Okada Kineo Scholarship Foundation.
In 2002, the company was listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
In 2007, he was appointed as Chairman & CEO.
In June 2016, he resigned and assumed his new role as Founder and Senior Advisor of the Ariake Group.
