The company was founded in 1911 by Uchu Tatsuno, and in the following years we achieved the following:
1919 Produced the first gasoline dispenser in Japan
1939 Delivered Japan’s first metering dispenser (the predecessor of today’s automatic dispensers) to Air Corps
1963 Completed and launched the world’s first ceiling-suspended overhead gasoline dispenser, Tatsuno’s patented “Non-space dispenser”
1970 Launched “Punch Writer”, the first POS terminal in the petrol station industry
1985 Launched the world’s first compact IC card reader/writer
2002 Started the development of Japan’s first retail hydrogen dispenser for fuel cell vehicles

Tatsuno believes that while the demand for petrol will still remain, at the same time, the demand for new sources of sustainable energy will be increasing, and one of them will be hydrogen.
