Established in 2006 as the holding company of the Seibu Group.
It has 54 business subsidiaries including Seibu Railways and Prince Hotels, and exercises corporate governance and general control over them.

Background
17 December 2004 – Seibu Railway Co., Ltd, delisted from the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
3 February 2006 – Established, with the aim of restructuring the Seibu Group.
23 April 2014 – Relisted on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The Company has adopted the Corporate Audit system and has established the General Meeting of Shareholders, Board of Directors and Board of Corporate Auditors stipulated in the Companies Act as company organizations. In order to conduct proper allocation of management resources, supervision of business management and other functions as a holding company, the Board of Directors of the Company is composed of Directors who are familiar with the Group’s businesses and their management, and independent Outside Directors with extensive knowledge and insight.
