Key Products or Services:

KJ Chemicals Corporation is a manufacturer in Japan and a global supplier of monomers, solvents, oligomers and purine derivatives. Functional monomers (Kohshylmer®): Our functional monomers as reactive diluents are used to formulate UV curable products for inkjet inks and 3D printing inks and is also widely used as a cross-linker for waterborne paints, coatings and adhesives. In addition, they are used for the coatings in automobiles such as meter display panels and various decorative panels, antifog coatings for headlights, electrodeposition paints for vehicle bodies. Functional Solvents (Kohshylvent®): KJCMPA®-100 and KJCBPA®-100, a new kind of solvents containing both amide group and ether group, can provide enhanced solubility on dissolving a wide range of substances including many poorly soluble materials such as polyimide. As a perfect candidate to replace NMP, it can also be suitably used as a solvent in inks, cleaning agents, and in the process of making synthetic resins such as polyurethane and polyamide-imide because of the low safety concerns.

Technology / R&D activities:

We are the world's first company to develop a method of producing acrylamide derivatives. Using this as a core technology, we research and develop for acrylamide derivatives solvent-free paints and inks and for various electronic materials. We are proactively working to expand application of these monomers to functional polymers and to working fluid for metallic and brittle materials.
