Gundam-inspired collaboration, limited-edition Grave models, and a versatile new silhouette signal master-piece’s next chapter in Japanese bag design.

MSPC Corporation, maker of the Japanese bag brand master-piece, has unveiled a series of new launches in late 2025, underscoring its strategy to blend design, function and pop culture through tightly curated collaborations and product updates. The year-end line-up is led by the first-ever STRICT-G × master-piece Collaboration Series, a GINZA SIX–exclusive limited-color drop in the high-end “Grave” series, and a new “Slick” shoulder bag model designed for modern urban use.
The STRICT-G × master-piece Collaboration Series is built around the world of Mobile Suit Gundam and focuses on the character Char Aznable, known as the “Red Comet.” The collection introduces three bags—a shoulder bag, sling bag and shoulder pouch—based on popular master-piece models and produced in MSPC’s Japanese factory. Each piece incorporates collaboration-only details such as red accents inspired by Char’s mobile suit, a leather name tag engraved with his personal emblem, and functional touches like a tape loop that can be used as a towel holder. The outer material uses a three-layer nylon featuring Breathatec® for lightweight, high water resistance and breathability, paired with vegetable-tanned eco cow leather that meets JES environmental standards.

At the same time, master-piece is deepening its presence in Tokyo’s luxury retail hub with a limited-color edition of the “Grave” series at GINZA SIX. Grave is positioned as a high-end casual line combining original high-performance fabric with velour leather, and featuring a distinctive five-layer shoulder pad structure using high-strength nylon MASTERTEX-09™, Asahi Kasei’s FUSION®, NASA-developed Outlast® temperature-control material and breathable mesh. The result is a backpack and shoulder bags that balance technical performance, comfort and visual impact in strictly limited numbers available only at the MSPC PRODUCT SELECTED GINZA SIX store.
Rounding out the releases, master-piece has added a new shoulder bag to its long-running “Slick” series, with sales beginning late 2025. The new model adopts a trend-conscious banana silhouette designed to hug the body, while still accommodating an 11-inch tablet in the main compartment. A front pocket with YKK AquaGuard® zipper improves water resistance and provides convenient storage for gadgets and small items. The design is intended to move seamlessly between business and casual settings, reflecting the “everyday hybrid” use case of many of the brand’s customers.
Taken together, the Gundam collaboration, GINZA SIX exclusives and refreshed core series demonstrate how MSPC is leveraging collaborations, materials innovation and limited distribution to keep master-piece at the intersection of Japanese craftsmanship, fashion and functional design.
