News Release: AIXIA Refreshes MiawMiaw Dry Foods and Enters Frozen Dog Food Market with BLACK TERRACE Supervision

Article - January 5, 2026

AIXIA’s cat lineup gains updated mineral balance and new packs as the company launches chef-designed frozen meals for dogs

AIXIA Corporation has announced a renewal of its flagship MiawMiaw Karikari Small Kibble range for cats, alongside the rollout of a new frozen dog food line supervised by Tokyo restaurant BLACK TERRACE, marking a coordinated upgrade of its core pet nutrition portfolio.

The MiawMiaw renewal covers multiple SKUs in 270g, 580g and 1.08kg sizes, including kitten, adult and senior recipes in tuna, bonito and chicken flavors. While the product names and formats remain familiar, AIXIA has adjusted mineral values such as calcium, phosphorus and sodium in adult and senior items to better reflect life-stage needs. At the same time, the company has clarified that adult formulas are now targeted from around one year of age, removing kittens from the stated feeding range, and has introduced a refreshed packaging design across the line. Existing packs will be discontinued once inventories are exhausted, with renewed products shipped sequentially thereafter.

Complementing the cat side of the business, AIXIA entered the fast-growing frozen dog food segment earlier in 2025, with the launch of “Frozen Pet Food for Dogs”, an eight-item range created under the supervision of the chef at BLACK TERRACE, a pet-friendly restaurant in Tokyo’s Aobadai district. Each product pairs a human-grade main dish—such as hamburger steak, domestic beef steak or oven-baked white fish—with vegetables or salads, prepared in a Japanese food factory and blast-frozen to lock in freshness and flavor without the use of preservatives, colorants, curing agents or thickening stabilizers.

AIXIA’s Lineup of Cat Food

The frozen meals are designed to be warmed quickly in a microwave and served as a home-style side dish that can be enjoyed on special occasions like birthdays yet is convenient enough for everyday use. The lineup also includes fish-based options for dogs that cannot eat meat, and recipes featuring katsuobushi-based jelly or miso-flavored fermented soybean flour to help vegetable-averse dogs eat more easily.

Together, the MiawMiaw renewals and BLACK TERRACE-supervised frozen dog foods underscore AIXIA’s strategy to refine established brands nutritionally while expanding into new premium segments that mirror human food trends in convenience, provenance and menu variety.
