(Head Office: Nanyo City, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan;) has officially obtained GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification for our Yamagata Headquarters Factory, based on a rigorous audit conducted by ECOCERT Greenlife S.A.S., a leading international certification body headquartered in France.
This certification attests that the quality and reliability of our products meet internationally recognized standards. The certified products include unisex apparel such as T-shirts, singlets, sleepwear, and robes, with all primary materials consisting of 100% organic material. All manufacturing processes are responsibly managed and fully executed at our Yamagata Headquarters Factory, complying with strict environmental and quality standards.
Importantly, this certification was achieved through Single-site Certification, meaning that our Yamagata Headquarters Factory independently satisfies all GOTS requirements without reliance on multiple sites or group certifications. This highlights the transparency, traceability, and quality assurance that Nakano Apparel is committed to delivering to our customers and partners.
Beyond product certification, this achievement also reflects our ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability.
Our Yamagata facility operates using 100% renewable energy, recycles 100% of textile waste, and engages all employees in daily improvement activities under our "Sustainable Factory Declaration" initiated in 2021.Looking ahead, we will actively expand our development of products made with organic materials, further enhance our environmental initiatives, and contribute to the global promotion and value creation of GOTS-certified textiles.
The certification is valid until April 23, 2026, and we remain steadfast in pursuing sustainable manufacturing practices that support a better future for society and the planet.
