Punta Cana and Bávaro, Santo Domingo and La Romana, Barahona and Pedernales, Samaná, Montecristi and Puerto Plata – every region in the Dominican Republic has beaches that meet the strictest of requirements. The 400+ km of beaches in the Dominican Republic include many types – from virgin beaches with vegetation that remains untouched by man to the most popular ones frequented that are by no means less charming to their visitors.
For example, towards the east lies the area of Punta Cana, Bávaro and Macao, with a continuous stretch of beach measuring almost 35 km. These beaches tend to be famous abroad due to their turquoise waters and white sand. There are over 30 tourist resorts around these beaches which, without doubt, are one of the greatest attractions for tourists.
