Daldry, a building firm with vast experience in the social housing sector, is developing Villa Victoria. For more than 30 years, the partners have been involved in housing projects in the north of Guayaquil, projects such as La Garzota, Kennedy Norte, El Portón de Las Lomas, and the Estadio Monumental. “Daldry is a company that was only founded in 2003 but has professionals with more than 30 years experience in the building of homes, during which time we have used a number of different systems until we have arrived at what we are using now, which allows us to construct very quickly and efficiently for the convenience of our clients,” says engineer Antonio Patiño, Daldry’s Technical Director.

According to Patiño, “Guayaquil was chaotic before and people lacked a lot of respect for the city, breaking things and throwing paper and rubbish in the street, etc. Now that they have clean and modern areas they are not so quick to mess it up; we have seen how the people have learned to respect their surroundings.” However, now, “the authorities have become leaders in these kinds of projects, and without this kind of public housing Guayaquil would not have the opportunities that it has today.”

Other projects for Daldry is to expand out of the city and the company has purchased 32 hectares of land in Santo Domingo for a much more commercial project in an area between the coast and the mountains. “There we will build around 3,000 homes,” says Daldry’s technical director.
