History:

Tsukasa Petco Co., Ltd., established in March 2006 and headquartered in Yokohama, Japan, operates both domestically and internationally, with a biotech division in Kyoto and offices in Seoul, Taipei, Shanghai, and a local subsidiary in Singapore.

Key Products or Services:

Our company primarily imports and sells PET resin materials used for beverage bottles. We also handle the import, export, and domestic sales of synthetic resin materials, products, and various chemicals. Additionally, we actively engage in bioplastic development and recycling initiatives.

Technology / R&D activities:

Our company is collaborating with Tel Aviv University's Institute of Environmental Studies to develop biodegradable bioplastics (PHA) made from seaweed waste.

This initiative, called the Green Ocean Blue Planet Initiative, aims to produce sustainable materials using discarded seaweeds like kombu and wakame.

A technology license was signed in 2021, and in 2023 the company established a Biotech Division in Kyoto to conduct production trials using Japanese-made equipment.

The project contributes to biomass recycling, decarbonization, and the SDGs, by combining Israeli innovation with Japanese industrial expertise.

Our company is expanding globally, with offices in Taipei, Seoul, Shanghai, and a subsidiary in Singapore. These locations support its operations across Asia and beyond. The Singapore office focuses on construction-related business and triangular trade in ASEAN markets. The company is also committed to sustainability through recycling initiatives and green bond investments.
