A unique historic attraction

Located in a stunning nature reserve in the Tshwane region in the Northern Part of South Africa, the Voortrekker Monument was designed by architect Gerard Moerdijk to commemorate the Pioneer history of Southern Africa and the history of the Afrikaner. It is the most visited heritage site of its kind in Gauteng province and one of the top ten cultural historical visitor attractions in the country, drawing some 200,000 visitors annually
