Shinichiro Inoue joined The Television Co. in April, 1987. He launched the animation magazine Monthly Newtype as the deputy editor. Afterwards, he successively launched the women’s information magazine Chou Chou and comic magazine Monthly Shonen Ace as founding chief editor. He assumed the role of Representative Director and President of Kadokawa Shoten Co., Ltd. in January, 2007, then became the Representative Director and Senior Managing Director of Kadokawa Group Holdings, Inc. (now the Kadokawa Corporation) to the present day.
The main movie titles he has produced include: The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (2006), Tenchi: Samurai Astronomer (2012), Kikaider Reboot (2014), Grasshopper (2015), Pink and Gray (2016), Sailor Suit and Machine Gun: Graduation (2016), and Sadako vs Kayako (2016).
