Saif Humaid Al Falasi is the Chief Executive Officer of the ENOC Group. A 34 year veteran in the energy industry, Mr Al Falasi’s wealth of experience, in-depth industry knowledge and expertise spans a wide range of specialties, including project management; petroleum asset evaluation, such as reservoir development and management; the development of enhanced oil recovery; drilling and completion technology; surface facilities and production operation.

Mr Al Falasi has been with ENOC since 2008 and has taken on numerous senior positions, playing a critical role in the success and progress of the organization. Mr Al Falasi previously held the position of Executive Director for EHSQ and Corporate Affairs Directorate, through which he was responsible for the management of key divisions within the group, including Group Legal, Group Communications, and Group Environment Health Safety & Quality Compliance (EHSQ). During his tenure, he also facilitated other group ventures before taking the reins of ENOC’s leadership in March 2015.

In 2014, Mr Al Falasi was awarded the Fellowship of the Energy Institute in the United Kingdom by the institute’s former president Ian Merchant, in recognition of his continued leadership efforts with the ENOC Energy & Resource Management Programme. Some of the most renowned projects under his leadership are the establishment of the ENOC EHS Leadership Initiatives; the ENOC Wellness & Social Activities Programme; the ENOC Energy and Resource Management Programme, and many of the corporate social responsibility activities.

Prior to joining ENOC, Mr Al Falasi worked with the ADNOC Group of companies, where he had successfully executed multiple full-field development plans for the largest oil fields in Abu Dhabi. His first position was as a Drilling and Petroleum Engineer seconded to AOMA-OPIO in 1980-1982. He was later appointed as a Reservoir Simulation Engineer seconded to Exxon Production Research Company in Houston Texas for two more years, which enriched his knowledge and expertise in reservoir engineering.

Mr Al Falasi moved to ZADCO where, as Petroleum Development Manager, he has successfully managed and led a multi-disciplinary team of 150 reservoir engineers, geologists, petro-physicists, drilling and petroleum engineers for 10 years. He then spent the next eight years in management as member of the National Marine Service (NMS) Board of Directors and Deputy General Manager of ZADCO. He has immensely contributed to the success and achievements of the entity and was announced as a member of the ESNAAD Board of Directors while maintaining the post of Technical Advisor to the Deputy CEO of ADNOC between 2003-2006.

In addition, he was the Chairman of the Group’s Energy & Resource Management Steering Committee, Cylingas Board Committee, Business Continuity Management Programme Committee, and has been the Group Sponsor for the ENOC Wellness & Social Programme (EWSP) Committee since 2009.

Mr Al Falasi holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Louisiana Tech, USA.
