Mr. Younes has led Concord’s private equity investments for all of Concord’s funds since 2000. Former Chairman of Baring Brothers & Co., Inc., the New York based corporate finance affiliate of Baring Brothers & Co., Limited, 1988-1992. Chairman, Kidder, Peabody International and a member of the Board of Directors of Kidder, Peabody & Co. Incorporated 1979-1987.

Mr. Younes is a graduate of Cairo University and has an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. His areas of expertise are International Corporate Finance, investment Banking and Investment Management.

Past directorships include Euroclear Clearance System; UBAF Arab American Bank, New York; Delta International Bank; and Baring Brothers & Co. Limited, London, Paints & Chemicals Industries (PACHIN), The Egyptian Company for Foods (BiscoMisr), Chairman of the International Advisory Board of the Cairo Stock Exchange.

He was a member of the Advisory Committee on International Capital Markets to the Board of the New York Stock Exchange and the International Capital Committee of the Securities Industry Association, New York,

Mr. Younes served for two consecutive four year terms ending in December 2007 as a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Egypt. In that capacity he was also a member of CBE’s Audit Committee, its Investment Committee and the Banking Industry Restructuring Committee.

He is also founder and member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Investment Management Association, Director of Lecico Egypt and The Egyptian Investment Company and member of the Japanese Business Association.
