Mohamed Saad joined Schneider Electric in 1998. He is currently the Zone President of Schneider Electric Africa & Caribbean, and is responsible for more than 54 countries. He has occupied various positions within the organization in HR, project management, and general management in several locations such as Paris, Barcelona, Algeria and Egypt.
In 2006, he became the Country President for Algeria, then in 2010 he was nominated as Country President for Egypt and North East Africa. Finally, in April 2012, he was appointed to his current role.
During his journey, Mr Saad has proven to be a strong leader on both the business and people sides. He was able to successfully put the African side of the company on track to reach its ambitious growth objectives through Schneider Electric’s reliable, affordable and safe products and solutions.
He also managed to lead successful CSR projects in Africa to provide access to energy to the people who need it the most. This was achieved through special programs to train and sponsor young talent from the base of the pyramid in energy management to enable them to learn, tell, and build our sustainability story.
Education
Mr Saad graduated from the American University in Cairo, and pursued his education with an MBA and an executive education program at London Business School (LBS).
Experience
Besides his corporate responsibilities, Mr Saad has further roles in other reputable organizations. He is treasurer of the Foreign Trade Advisors of France (CCE) organization and a board member at the French Chamber of Commerce. He has provided lectures for graduate students at l’Ecole Supérieure de Management en Alternance (l’ESMA) in Marne La Vallée, Paris. And he also acted as graduate professor at HEC, the prominent European business school in Jouy-en-Josas, Paris.
