I graduated from the Business School of the University of Notre Dame in 1990 and later obtained a master degree in business.
Experience
I entered Katayama American Company Inc. (hereafter KACI) in Shelbyville, KY. I was promoted to General Manager in charge of Sales, Finance, Production Control, and Purchasing in 1993. I was promoted to Vice President in charge of all areas at KACI.
I was promoted to President of KACI in 2001.
I moved back to Japan to become president of Katayama Kogyo in 2008.
Areas of Expertise
I used Cost Accounting skills to be able to compare between actual costs vs standard costs so that I can get precise breakeven point for a product.
What have been the main lessons you have learned in your career and how do you implement them in your management?
My major was Cost Accounting at Graduate School at University of Notre Dame.
So I have used Cost Accounting Methods to analyze actual costs of each product.
