Jacques Rusirare was born in Rwamagana District, Eastern Province, Rwanda. He was married and has five children.
Education
1955-1961: primary level
1961-1963: secondary level
Between 1959 and 1963, in Rwanda it was the segregation. And for this reason Jacques Rusirare stopped his secondary school studies.
Experience
1969-1971: he started commercial activities.
1971: he bought the first vehicle.
1974-1985: he was a transporter with three trucks; during this period he was the distributer of Bralirwa products.
Areas of Expertise
In 1982, he created the wood & metal workshop “Atelier des Meubles de Kigali” (AMEKI).
Between 1982 and 1989 he commenced his hardware business.
In 1989-1994 he prepared strategies to create a paint manufacturing industry.
In 1994, the genocide of Tutsi in Rwanda destroyed all his preparations and ideas.
After the genocide, in 1995 he revived his ideas of creating a paint industry.
