Andrés Tolosa has devoted more than 30 years to a career linked strongly to the planning, development and commercial operation of telecommunications networks.
Experience
Mr Tolosa has been an official at Antel (Administración Nacional de Telecomunicaciones) for 31 years and has served in various activities, including: satellite communications, digital transmission by optical fiber, digital exchanges and the development of the entire mobile communications network.
Among the positions Mr Tolosa has held at Antel include his appointment as an Area Manager in 2000, Manager of the Mobile Services Division in 2009, and General Manager in 2010. He became President of Antel on April 28, 2015.
Education
Mr Tolosa graduated in 1985 as an industrial engineer from the Faculty of Engineering at Uruguay’s University of the Republic (Universidad de la República, or Udelar) in Montevideo.
