Hisashi Furukawa has been President and Representative Director of Japan Hotel REIT Advisors Co., Ltd. (“JHRA”) since June 2014 when he joined JHRA.
Prior to JHRA, Mr. Furukawa was a Principal of Rockpoint Group, a U.S. real estate investment management firm for 9 years and he oversaw Rockpoint’s investment activities in Japan as Country Head.
Prior to Rockpoint, Mr. Furukawa was with UBS Securities from 2000 to 2004 and Morgan Stanley from 1990 to 2000. There, he served in various capacities in real estate investment banking business. From 1982 to 1990, Mr. Furukawa worked for Sumitomo Realty and Development.
Education
Graduated from the University of Tokyo with a major in Engineering
