I started my business carrier with Mitsui & Co., Ltd., mainly in the machinery division, and gained experience in Asia, Middle East and the USA. After 30 years with Mitsui, I joined Harmonic Drive Systems Inc. in 2002. and have been its CEO since 2013. I am a native Japanese speaker with a good command of English and colloquial Farsi.
Education
I majored in International Economics at Hitotsubashi Univeresity, Tokyo, Japan, graduating in 1972.
Experience
Being a project manager on site in Ramadi, Iraq, during warfare provided me with a variety of experiences and lessons, which made me more versatile in business skills added mental toughness.
Areas of Expertise
In addition to gaining sales and marketing abilities at Mitsui, I acquired management skills through being a president of one of Mitsui’s subsidiaries in the USA. My management skills were further developed by being a Head of Corporate Planning and CFO at Harmonic Drive Systems Inc.
