Company Highlights

February 2004 – Solare Hotels and Resorts was founded as a subsidiary of Hudson Japan, the US-based Loan Star Fund’s asset management firm, following the bankruptcy of Chisan Co., Ltd. Solare Hotels and Resorts has since managed Chisan’s hotel operation business.

 

December 2005 – The first Chisun Inn Roadside hotel opened in Sendai.

 

March 2007 – Loisir brand was added to the Solare group as an upscale full-service hotel brand.

 

January 2015 – Opened first overseas hotel in Korea, Loisir Hotel Seoul Myondon.

 

March 2015 – Solare Hotels and Resorts separated from the Loan Star Group and became an independent hotel operator company.

 

February 2016 – Added Urawa Royal Pines Hotel to the group, a full-scale city hotel suitable for Urawa, the prefectural capital of Saitama.

 

March 2016 – Launched the brand new Hotel the M Innsomnia Akasaka (Tokyo).

 

June 2016 – The company currently operates three main brands: Hotel the M, Loisir, and Chisun.
