Created by Decree N ° 2004/320 of 8 December 2004 to organize the Government, the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts is responsible for the implementation of government policy development SME, Social Economy and Handicrafts.
This gives it enormous responsibilities, including:
- Promotion and coaching of SMEs and crafts;
- Development of social economy;
- The establishment, in conjunction with professional organizations, a database of projects and for investors in the areas of SMEs and crafts;
- The promotion of private initiative;
- Monitoring the activities of aid agencies to SMEs and crafts;
- The promotion of SME products and handicrafts, in conjunction with professional organizations concerned;
- Monitoring of the professional organizations of SMEs and crafts;
- Monitoring the evolution of the informal sector and related studies;
- Identifying and exploring the possibilities of migration of the informal sector and related studies;
- The study of any measures to promote information and training for the informal sector.
It is at the intersection of all these missions and confluence with the declared intention of the Head of State that the MINPMEESA taking on the task.
