Business Description
Kawakin Holdings group consists of a holding company and 16 subsidiaries and affiliates.
Our business is mainly divided into three segments, material division (cast steel and cast iron, precision casting and die castings, and hot rolled steels), civil engineering construction equipment division(seismic isolation and vibration control equipment for bridges and buildings), and industrial machinery division(hydraulic dampers, hydraulic cylinders, and injection molding machines).
Background
Our former company, Kawaguchi Metal Industries Co., Ltd. was established as a main casting company of a “casting town”, Kawaguchi in 1948, and was listed on the 2nd section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 1961. Subsequently, while strengthening the design and production capabilities of bridge bearings and diversifying businesses to related device businesses, the company formed a group of specialist manufacturers, each of which had excellent capabilities in injection-molding machines, hydraulic cylinders, and precision castings. In October 2008, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of its foundation of Kawaguchi Metal Industries Co., Ltd., Kawakin Holdings Co., Ltd. was established as the group holding company to enhance the group’s strengths and capabilities. Then, in April 2009, Kawakin Holdings reorganized the business structure, and established the Group philosophy and vision. This marked the starting point of a new history for the Kawakin Holdings group. As many Japanese companies expanded their production bases overseas, Kawakin Holdings group established a production base of bearings for bridges in Vietnam in 2012, and acquired Dynamic Isolation systems, Inc, a seismic isolation products manufacturer in Nevada, the U.S.A., through our newly-established holding company in the U.S.A, Kawakin USA, Inc. in 2016. Kawakin Die Casting Industries Co., Ltd. is another company which joined Kawakin Holdings Group in 2016. Now, Kawakin Holdings group is operating and expanding its businesses in more integrated and strategic way to draw on group synergies.
Location
The headquarter of Kawakin Holdings is located in Kawaguchi, Saitama in Japan. Our locations are expanded worldwide, such as the U.S.A, China and Vietnam.
