Highlights

IMV Corporation has newly opened a new test laboratory called the Advanced Technology Centre for Environmental Testing in Yamanashi Prefecture, central Japan. It is located 45 minutes from Tokyo on the Chuo Expressway. IMV has made this test facility available to all of its international customers in addition to providing high-level technical support for local companies. Furthermore, this advanced test center is 15 minutes by car from IMV’s existing Tokyo test laboratory and therefore strengthens IMV’s capabilities, while also improving responsiveness through the services of both laboratories.

The Advanced Technology Centre for Environmental includes facilities for vibration, shock, temperature, drop and impact testing for lithium-ion batteries to international standard ECE-R100. In addition, there is a large vibration test system, which has a 2,000kg testing capability. The test zone testing is highly acclaimed. Not only does it offer high-level, traditional vibration/shock testing, but it has also responded

to the growing demand for mechanical and electrical testing of lithium-ion batteries. The new IMV facility has full testing capability for mechanical shock testing and charge/discharge testing of Li-ion batteries.
