Business Description
The Chikaranomoto Group’s main operation is the IPPUDO brand of ramen restaurants. However, the group also utilizes other secondary brands, such as bakeries, and is involved in consulting on restaurant and foodservice businesses, its noodles manufacturing business, farming corporation and training center, and its foods facility providing cooking classes for flour-based products for educational purposes.
In December 2014, the Cool Japan Fund announced its decision to invest in our group company, Chikaranomoto Holdings Co., Ltd. to support the opening of IPPUDO branches in major Western cities as well as to help the global expansion of the Japanese restaurant industry.
As of April 1, 2016, the Chikaranomoto Group holds 116 stores and restaurants in Japan and 55 stores overseas. And with support from the Cool Japan Fund, we are able to continue expanding our business actively across the world.

1997 – Won the first place on “TV Champion contest” organized by Tokyo TV, and maintained No.1 position for three consecutive years.
2005 – Won the first generation of “Ramen King” broadcast by TV station TBS.
2010-2011– Won first place in general at the TRY award as Tokyo Ramen of the Year, which is known as the highest honor in the industry.
2010 – IPPUDO NY was selected as the best restaurant in the USA, by a vote organized by the popular gourmet website Yelp!
2014 – IPPUDO Kyoto branch was selected the best restaurant by Trip Advisor, the world’s largest traveler review website, in the category of “the most popular restaurant voted by foreigners in 2014”.
In addition to these accolades, IPPUDO has also received many other awards around the world.
